Intel Gaudi 3 Driver Support Misses Linux 6.19 Merge Window
Intel's open-source driver support for its Gaudi 3 AI accelerator was rejected from the Linux 6.19 kernel mainline merge window yesterday. Intel had submitted the substantial patch set last night, aiming for inclusion in the in-development kernel. However, the pull request was deemed too late for the Linux 6.19 merge window and subsequently withdrawn. This decision means the long-delayed Gaudi 3 accelerator support will not be part of the upcoming Linux 6.19 release, requiring developers to wait for a future kernel version for official mainline integration. Phoronix reported that the "pull request was coming unusually late for being such a large set of patches."
