Linux Kernel 6.18 Integrates Collabora's Rust Driver for Arm Mali GPUs
The latest Linux kernel release, version 6.18, features significant contributions from Collabora's engineering team. Most notably, Kernel 6.18 integrates Tyr, a new Rust driver designed for CSF-based Arm Mali GPUs. This addition marks a further advancement in the use of Rust within the Linux kernel, expanding its presence in graphics subsystem support. Collabora also delivered ongoing hardware enablement and improved support for MediaTek SoCs in this release.
