A proposal has been put forward to revitalize the Fedora Games Lab, one of Fedora's specialized "spins" under the Fedora Labs initiative. This effort aims to transform the Games Lab into a more robust showcase for modern Linux gaming capabilities. The updated Fedora Games Lab is targeted for debut with Fedora 44, which is expected to release in 2026. The current Games Lab offers a collection of open-source games, serving as a demonstrator for Linux gaming. The proposed revitalization seeks to enhance this offering, better reflecting the current potential and advancements within the Linux gaming ecosystem by providing an improved, readily accessible platform to experience Linux gaming.
