Goverlay 1.7.0 was released today, focusing on deeper integration and easier management of environment variables for Linux gamers. The update replaces the prior "Global Enable" feature with a new "Auto Enable" system based on FGMod. FGMod scripts are now directly embedded into the Goverlay binary, and dynamic path detection has been improved for both native and Flatpak installations. A significant new addition is the "Proton Tweaks Tab", described by the developers as "a dedicated space to manage environment variables effortlessly". This tab enables one-click support for features like HDR, GameMode, and Wayland, and introduces Radeon RT emulation for older GPUs, alongside custom environment variable support.
