Phoronix Benchmarks Ryzen 7 9850X3D DDR5-4800 vs. DDR5-6000 on Linux

Phoronix today published benchmarks comparing DDR5-4800 and DDR5-6000 memory performance with the AMD Ryzen 7 9850X3D processor on Ubuntu Linux. This report complements yesterday's Linux review of the new CPU. AMD had indicated that lower memory speeds, such as DDR5-4800, might be suitable for the Ryzen 7 9850X3D without significantly impacting gaming performance, attributing this to its 2nd Gen AMD 3D V-Cache technology. The benchmarks analyzed over 300 scenarios, covering Linux gaming and a variety of other workloads, to assess the performance implications of the two DDR5 memory configurations.
