Linux Kernel Merges RK3588/RK3576 VDPU38x Video Decoder Support

Collabora recently announced that support for Rockchip's VDPU381 and VDPU383 video decoders has been merged into the upstream Linux kernel. This integration brings mainline H.264 and HEVC decode capabilities for the RK3588 and RK3576 System-on-Chips. The update also includes robust IOMMU-reset recovery, enhancing system stability during video operations. New HEVC V4L2 UAPI controls, designed to align with Vulkan Video specifications, are part of this merge. These improvements are critical for devices utilizing Rockchip's latest SoCs, ensuring improved video playback and development support directly within the mainline kernel.
