Goverlay 1.7.5 Adds Protontricks Windows Version Manager, Flatpak Friendly

Goverlay, the open-source Linux overlay application, released version 1.7.5 today. This update introduces a WINE and Proton that helps to install Windows components (DLLs, runtimes) into WINE prefixes.">Protontricks Windows Version Manager, allowing users to manage Wine prefix Windows versions through a newly designed user interface. The functionality is "Flatpak friendly," automatically detecting a native Protontricks installation on the host system or defaulting to the Flatpak version (com.github.Matoking.Protontricks). The developer stated that the new protontricks implementation "is going to make easier change the windows version inside Wine prefixes." However, potential Flatpak permission issues for this specific feature were noted, which might lead to its removal from the Flatpak version if not approved. The 1.7.5 release also incorporates multiple bug fixes and additional new features.
