Hyprland 0.54.1 Patch Release Addresses Crashes, Build Issues, and Window Management
Hyprland, a Wayland compositor, released version 0.54.1 today. This patch release backports several fixes from the main development branch to the 0.54.0 series. Key issues addressed include a crash in the master layout algorithm after Display Power Management Signaling (DPMS) events and another rare crash in the scrolling algorithm. The update also resolves a build issue on GCC 16.x, fixes focus edge detection, and corrects damage handling for window borders. Further improvements ensure floating windows are not auto-grouped and resolve problems with window group movement. Additionally, the hyprctl utility received fixes for buffer overflowing writes to its socket.
