AerynOS, the Linux distribution built from scratch and formerly known as Serpent OS, released its 2026.03 update this month. This new version integrates desktop environment advancements including GNOME 50 and KDE Plasma 6.6.3. The update also features various enhancements for Wayland compositors, aiming to improve the display server protocol's experience. According to Phoronix, these additions are part of "other software improvements" included in the release.
