Linux 7.0 Merges Support for Three New AI Agent Interaction Keys
The Linux 7.0 kernel, currently nearing its stable release, today gained support for three additional standardized keycodes designed for AI agent interactions on future PC hardware. This merge expands upon the existing support for the Microsoft Copilot key, which has been present in the Linux kernel since last year and is becoming more common on new laptops. The inclusion of these new keycodes in Linux 7.0 will enable the operating system to respond to dedicated hardware keys intended to trigger AI functionality, standardizing user interaction with AI agents.
