The testing was conducted on a new HP Z6 G5 A workstation, equipped with an AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 9975WX CPU, eight channels of DDR5-5600 memory, and an NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 Max-Q workstation graphics card. These preliminary benchmarks indicated a performance lead for the Linux distribution in professional applications. According to Phoronix, "Ubuntu 26.04 LTS is leading over Windows 11 in creator/workstation workloads," demonstrating a performance advantage for Linux in demanding professional scenarios on this high-end hardware.
