Steam on Linux Market Share Recedes in April After Record March High
The Steam on Linux market share experienced a slight pullback in April, according to Phoronix. This follows a record high achieved in March, where usage surged to 5.33%, marking a 3.1% month-over-month increase. This peak was attributed to the continued success of the Steam Deck handheld and Steam Play, which includes Proton, facilitating running Windows games on Linux. Despite the April dip, Phoronix notes the Linux gaming market share is "still remaining healthy."
