Linux ssh-keysign-pwn Vulnerability Exposes Root-Owned Files to Unprivileged Users

A new Linux kernel vulnerability, dubbed ssh-keysign-pwn, has been reported today. This flaw allows unprivileged users to read files owned by the root user. Phoronix stated that this vulnerability is the "latest now" in a series of recently disclosed kernel issues, following Dirty Frag and Fragnesia. The ability for unprivileged users to access root-owned files poses a significant security risk, potentially exposing sensitive system configuration or user data. This discovery underscores ongoing challenges in kernel security, necessitating timely updates for affected Linux systems.
