"Flatten The Pick" v3 Patches Aim for Improved Linux cgroup Scheduling

A third iteration of "flatten the pick" Linux kernel patches was recently posted, continuing efforts to enhance cgroup scheduling. This ongoing work is designed to improve gaming performance, particularly for systems with older hardware. Intel engineer Peter Zijlstra, who is leading the development, previously noted a month ago that Linux cgroup scheduling "has continued to be a pain in the arse." The latest patch series aims to address these underlying scheduling inefficiencies to provide a smoother gaming experience.
