New TLAC Project Aims for Open-Source Kernel Anti-Cheat Alternative

Phoronix recently reported on TLAC, a new open-source project aiming to provide an alternative to proprietary kernel-level anti-cheat systems. This initiative seeks to offer a privacy-respecting solution for game integrity, contrasting with existing systems such as Denuvo, Easy Anti-Cheat, and BattlEye. As Phoronix noted, "TLAC is a new open-source project that aims to provide a privacy-respecting alternative to kernel-level anti-cheat systems like Denuvo, Easy Anti-Cheat, and BattlEye." While the project is new, it is not yet clear if any games have adopted TLAC. The goal is to establish an open and less intrusive method for combating cheating in games.
