A recent driver fix has been developed by the open-source community for the ASUS ROG Strix G16 G614PR gaming laptop. The issue involved the open-source Linux driver setting "inappropriate power values," which resulted in lower power and performance compared to Windows. Modern laptops increasingly rely on accurate platform and WMI drivers to ensure full functionality and achieve optimal performance. This community-driven correction addresses the performance disparity on the ASUS ROG Strix G16 G614PR by correcting these power values.
