ChimeraOS 49-2 Ships Transition Release for New Update System

ChimeraOS recently released version 49-2 (cabd8c9), which the developers describe as a "manually built transition release" designed to prepare the gaming operating system for a new update system. This version is functionally identical to its predecessor, 49-1, but incorporates an updated version of the frzr framework and its required dependencies. This release serves as a preparatory step for users to adopt the upcoming update mechanism, signifying a foundational change in how ChimeraOS will handle future system updates. The developers noted that the GitHub tag for 49-2 reflects a newer commit than 49-1.
