Anthropic has recently launched a beta version of its Claude desktop application for Linux. The release provides an apt repository for Ubuntu users to access ongoing updates. This Linux beta includes core functionalities such as "the same Chat, Cowork, and Claude Code experience as macOS and Windows: parallel sessions, visual diff review, an integrated terminal and editor, and live app preview." However, the beta currently lacks the "Computer Use" feature. This launch expands the availability of Anthropic's AI tools to the Linux desktop environment.
