GNOME OS Gains Funding for "Test Center" to Aid Experimental Software Testing
GNOME developers are currently working on a "Developer Tool Suite," tentatively referred to as their "Test Center," for GNOME OS. This initiative has recently secured funding from Germany's Prototype Fund. The primary goal of the Test Center is to streamline the testing of experimental applications and libraries within a modern Linux computing environment. It is designed to utilize contemporary technologies like systemd-sysext and Buildstream. This project aims to provide GNOME OS with a dedicated platform for testing experimental software, akin to systems seen in other ecosystems, thereby improving the integration and stability of new developments on the OS.
