Khronos revealed today new tiered OpenXR Adopter Program subscription and renewal fees, structured by company size. This initiative aims to make official conformance more accessible, thereby expanding the ecosystem of officially conformant OpenXR implementations. The OpenXR Conformance Test Suite remains freely available as open source, allowing any implementer to test their implementations. Organizations joining the Adopter Program can submit test results for review by the OpenXR Working Group. Successful submissions lead to official OpenXR conformant status. Khronos stated the goal is "to expand the ecosystem of officially conformant OpenXR implementations, giving developers a broader and more dependable range of compatible products."
