AMD Begins DCN6 Linux Display IP Development for RDNA5 (GFX13) GPUs

AMD last week initiated the public development of its next-generation display IP for Linux by posting initial Display Core Next 6 (DCN6) patches. These patches integrate foundational support for DCN6 into the AMDGPU kernel driver. DCN6 is identified as the display component for the upcoming AMD GFX13 graphics engine, which is anticipated to power the next-generation RDNA5 graphics processors. This development marks an early step in enabling the display capabilities of future AMD GPUs on the open-source Linux platform.
