AMD Updates UALink Patches, Prepares Linux Kernel for UALoE on Helios

AMD has updated its Ultra Accelerator Link (UALink) patches for the Linux kernel, initially posted earlier in August. This significant set of patches aims to integrate UALink support into the AMDGPU kernel driver. The update, released in closing out the month of August, advances the preparation of the Linux kernel for UALoE (Ultra Accelerator Link over Ethernet) on the upcoming Helios platform. UALink represents AMD's high-speed interconnect technology, critical for enabling enhanced accelerator-to-accelerator and CPU-to-accelerator communication in high-performance computing and data center environments. The ongoing work ensures the Linux kernel will be ready to fully leverage UALoE capabilities.
