KDE Plasma 6.8 Lands Dwell Clicker Support, Enhancing Wayland Accessibility
KDE Plasma 6.8 development now includes Dwell Clicker support, as reported by Phoronix today. This new accessibility feature aims to improve user interaction on the X11 on Linux.">Wayland display server. The addition addresses a functional gap previously present when comparing the Wayland session to the legacy X11 session. This integration is part of the ongoing preparations for Plasma 6.8, which is planned to be Wayland-exclusive, no longer supporting the X11 session. Dwell Clicker enables users to perform mouse clicks automatically by hovering the cursor over an element for a specified duration, without requiring physical button presses.
