The Bottles project released version 67.2 today, bringing important security and compatibility enhancements to its Windows application management utility. A key fix addresses a vulnerability by stopping the exposure of the host root directory to UMU sandboxes, thereby improving the isolation and security posture for bottle environments. Additionally, this release integrates Proton fonts directly into prefixes, aiming to resolve font-related issues for applications run through Wine or Proton. It also introduces a new feature to share cpak file grants with dedicated sandboxes, further refining containerized application deployment. Minor fixes for installer icon requests were also included.
