Mystery x86 CPU Implements APX, x86S, & Advanced AMX Tiles

A new x86 CPU implementation from a corporate entity other than AMD and Intel has revealed details of its design today. This "seeming start-up" has already showcased 16 tile and 32 tile Advanced Matrix Extensions (AMX) implementations, which surpass Intel's current AMX capabilities in shipping Xeon CPUs. Further disclosures today highlighted the integration of Advanced Performance Extensions (APX), Flexible Return and Event Delivery (FRED), and x86S. The x86S initiative is notable as it represents "the effort that Intel previously stopped for cleaning up the x86 baggage," suggesting a significant step towards a legacy-free x86 architecture by this new player.
