This extension integrates two primary features: the capability for Vulkan devices to receive precise timing feedback regarding previous presentation requests, and the ability for applications to explicitly set a target presentation time for each new request. Khronos emphasized that "It is the combination of these features that enables applications to achieve smooth, consistent animation," allowing for more refined control over frame delivery and visual fluidity in Vulkan applications.
