Intel Mesa Driver Workaround Halves Game Load for MHW; Merged to Git

A new DriConf workaround for Intel Linux graphics drivers has been merged into Mesa Git today. This enhancement is designed to significantly reduce initial game load times, specifically capable of halving the load time for titles such as Monster Hunter World. The inclusion of this workaround is part of the ongoing development efforts for the upcoming Mesa 26.1 release. This particular improvement for Intel graphics users on Linux arrives alongside other notable merges today for Mesa 26.1. These include the long-anticipated Vulkan present timing support, which aims to reduce game stuttering, and additional performance optimizations for DG2 and Meteor Lake GPUs, with some scenarios reportedly showing up to a 260% performance increase. These collective updates work to enhance the overall gaming experience on Intel integrated and discrete graphics under Linux.
