The Khronos Vulkan SC Working Group, in collaboration with RasterGrid, has released the Vulkan SC 1.0.21 SDK today. This new SDK provides a unified installer for both Linux and Windows, designed to streamline the development process for safety-critical Vulkan applications. It integrates essential components that previously required separate installation and configuration. These components include the Vulkan SC Loader, an emulation driver stack, validation layers, a device simulation layer, pipeline cache utilities, a cube sample, an info tool, and CMake along with Pipeline Cache Compiler integration. The SDK also offers optional automatic environment setup, aiming to significantly simplify the overall development workflow for safety-critical systems. Installers are now available on GitHub.
