The open-source NVIDIA NVK Vulkan driver now supports Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS). Code enabling this functionality was merged today, June 20, 2026, into the Mesa 26.2-devel branch. According to Phoronix, this development makes the NVK driver "capable of handling Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS) with modern game titles running on Linux / Steam Play." This integration expands the rendering features available for NVIDIA GPUs utilizing the open-source Vulkan driver stack on Linux.
