FFmpeg has recently introduced Vulkan-accelerated encoding for the APV video format. This new capability adds to the earlier development of Vulkan-accelerated decoding support for APV, completing the hardware-accelerated pipeline for this format within FFmpeg. The integration of Vulkan for both encoding and decoding leverages GPU capabilities to enhance performance for video processing tasks involving APV. This development provides developers and users with more efficient options for handling APV video streams on compatible systems.
