GOverlay recently released versions 1.8.5 and 1.8.6, delivering significant updates to its OptiScaler component and overall stability. Version 1.8.5 introduced a complete rewrite of OptiScaler's update and uninstall logic, aiming to resolve previous issues where updates failed or DLL files persisted. To prevent corruption, DLL backups are now isolated to game-specific directories. This release also automated builds for OptiScaler, OptiPatcher, and FakeNVAPI, and added a "bleeding-edge" channel for accessing the latest development code. Additionally, a new toggle for the OBS VKCAPTURE environment variable was added. Version 1.8.6, a subsequent maintenance release, fixed an old global path display for BGMOD and addressed an OptiScaler startup update check issue.
