Collabora Publishes Details on Experimental RADV Windows Port for AMD GPUs

Collabora recently detailed its experimental project to port Mesa's open-source Vulkan driver for AMD GPUs.">RADV, Mesa's open source Vulkan driver for AMD GPUs, to Windows. The initiative aims to enable the driver to run on the WIN32 platform, moving beyond initial setup towards handling real-world workloads. A key observation from the development effort is the requirement for a stable interface to AMD's proprietary kernel driver on Windows. This porting work aims to expand the reach of open source Vulkan implementations for AMD hardware beyond Linux environments.
