Mosaic GNOME Shell Extension Adds On-Demand Automatic Window Tiling
Mosaic, a new GNOME Shell extension, was released last month, bringing an on-demand automatic window tiling feature to the desktop environment. Users can activate or deactivate this mode directly from Quick Settings, allowing for a seamless transition between automatically arranged windows and a traditional floating window layout. The extension supports GNOME 45 and later versions. Its developers highlight that the "easy on-demand nature" of Mosaic distinguishes it from other similar tiling extensions, providing flexibility without requiring permanent commitment to a tiled workspace.
