LunarG today released Vulkan SDK 1.4.357, bringing notable performance and tooling enhancements for developers. The update features "Major KosmicKrisp performance gains (up to ~2.35× faster)" and introduces full Vulkan 1.4 exposure for Apple platforms. This expanded support aims to streamline Vulkan development on macOS and iOS, aligning capabilities with other operating systems. The SDK also includes 13 new Vulkan extensions, further extending API functionality. For debugging and validation, the Validation Layers now incorporate Scoped GPU-AV and a new GPU Dump tool, offering improved capabilities for identifying and resolving graphics issues. Vulkan SDK 1.4.357 is immediately available across Linux, Windows, and macOS.
