Xiaomi Joins Khronos Group as Contributor Member

Khronos Group recently announced it has welcomed Xiaomi as a Contributor Member. Xiaomi, a leading global consumer electronics and smart manufacturing company, is known for its extensive range of smartphones and its advanced AIoT platform. With a global Monthly Active User (MAU) base of approximately 685.8 million as of September 2024, and its AIoT platform connecting around 861.4 million smart devices, Xiaomi's membership is significant for the future of open standards. This role will allow Xiaomi to directly contribute to the development and evolution of Khronos specifications, including Vulkan, OpenCL, and OpenXR, potentially influencing graphics and compute performance across its vast device ecosystem.
