LunarG today announced the availability of Vulkan SDK 1.4.335. This release introduces a series of new extensions, improved validation tooling, and clearer layer configuration. Most notably, the SDK now includes the "first SDK-integrated version of KosmicKrisp," a Vulkan-over-Metal translation layer specifically for Apple Silicon Macs. This integration aims to simplify Vulkan development and deployment on Apple hardware, allowing applications to utilize Vulkan APIs through the native Metal framework on macOS.
