LunarG today announced the release of Vulkan SDK 1.4.335. This version includes a range of new extensions, enhancements to validation tooling, and clearer layer configuration. A notable addition is the first SDK-integrated version of KosmicKrisp, described by LunarG as "a Vulkan-over-Metal translation layer for Apple Silicon Macs." This integration is intended to streamline the development process for Vulkan applications targeting Apple's macOS platform by leveraging its native Metal API.
