vkd3d-proton 3.0.1 Brings D3D12 View Instancing, FSR4 Ray Reconstruction Ops
vkd3d-proton 3.0.1 was released today, introducing several new features to the Direct3D 12 on Vulkan translation layer. This version adds experimental support for D3D12 view instancing, which is specifically enabled for Crimson Desert (1.04+). It also implements VK_EXT_present_timing, allowing for smoother frame pacing when using SyncInterval greater than one. Further updates include support for the Independent Devices feature and the addition of new AGS WMMA operations. These WMMA ops are required for AMD's FSR4 Ray Reconstruction and Denoiser technologies, also utilized in titles like Crimson Desert. The developers note this is "likely the last release before VK_EXT_descriptor_heap lands."
