DXVK 3.0.2 Adds GPU Hang Debugging, Addresses Game-Specific Performance & Crashes

DXVK 3.0.2 was released today, introducing enhanced debugging capabilities and several game-specific fixes. A key new feature is the "DXVK_DEBUG=hang" environment variable, which aids in pinpointing GPU hang or driver crash locations that lead to "VK_ERROR_DEVICE_LOST" errors. This debugging functionality is noted to work best on AMD and Nvidia GPUs. The update also resolves a performance regression impacting games that frequently create new DXGI factories, specifically mentioning "Dying Light: The Beast" when FSR is enabled. Further bug fixes include addressing spurious GPU hangs on Nvidia in "Granblue Fantasy Relink", a workaround for a game bug causing rendering issues in "Halo CE", and a fix for a potential swapchain issue in "Overwatch". As Phoronix noted, DXVK implements "Direct3D 8 / 9 / 10 / 11 APIs... over the Vulkan API for running Windows games."
